Line Cooks are the heartbeat of our busy café kitchen. You’ll handle hot line execution, breakfast sandwiches, bowls, and high-volume rushes while keeping quality and consistency tight.

You’ll be a great fit if:

Primary responsibilities:

  • Cooking all hot menu items

PANTRY (ASSEMBLY & PLATING)

The Pantry Cook is responsible for assembling and plating some of the most visually important items at Farm To Barn. This station focuses on bowls, burritos, sandwiches, waffles, and burgers — making sure every plate that leaves the kitchen looks beautiful, consistent, and on-brand.

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You have strong attention to detail and presentation

  • You’re organized, quick, and clean

  • You can follow recipes and plating guides precisely

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assembling and plating bowls, sandwiches, waffles, salad, burgers, etc.

  • Ensuring every dish matches our portioning + visual standards

  • Coordinating with Cooks during rush periods

  • Maintaining a spotless station with proper refrigeration temps

  • Restocking ingredients and prepping garnishes as needed

  • Communicating with runners to keep food moving smoothly

BARISTA

Part-time available | $20-21/hr
Hours: Morning + midday (peak service hours)

Baristas are the heart of our new coffee program. You’ll craft espresso drinks, matcha, chai, teas, and seasonal specials with consistency and great hospitality. This is a fast-paced role with a strong emphasis on workflow, cleanliness, and connection.

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You have barista or café beverage experience

  • You’re confident with espresso extraction and milk texturing

  • You love creating a warm, welcoming guest experience

  • You can stay calm and organized during heavy rushes

  • You follow recipes carefully and communicate clearly

Primary responsibilities:

  • Preparing espresso drinks, matcha, chai, teas, cold brew, and specials

  • Steaming milk to proper texture for lattes, caps, and alt milks

  • Maintaining a clean, organized bar station throughout service

  • Dialing in espresso and managing grinder adjustments

  • Following exact recipes for syrups, sauces, and seasonal drinks

  • Communicating with runners + kitchen for fast ticket flow

  • Restocking milk, cups, lids, syrups, and bar tools

  • Supporting closing/opening bar procedures

FROZEN BOWLS & SMOOTHIES STATION

Hours: Morning + midday (peak rush position)

This station handles all açaí bowls, coconut sorbet bowls, smoothies, and blended drinks. It’s one of the fastest-moving areas of the café and requires speed, consistency, and beautiful presentation.

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You have experience with high-volume smoothie or bowl stations

  • You can work quickly while staying clean and organized

  • You care about presentation and portion accuracy

  • You can multitask between multiple blenders and bowl builds

  • You stay calm during heavy rushes (weekends especially)

Primary responsibilities:

  • Building açaí bowls, coconut sorbet bowls, and smoothie drinks

  • Following exact recipes, garnishes, and portion standards

  • Managing multiple blenders efficiently

  • Restocking frozen fruit, toppings, granola, and garnishes

  • Keeping the station cold, clean, labeled, and DOH compliant

  • Communicating with runners + Pantry for smooth flow

  • Maintaining consistency in texture, sweetness, and presentation

This role is perfect for:
Someone fast, detail-oriented, and comfortable with a nonstop rhythm — and someone who takes pride in bowls that are as pretty as they are delicious.

PREP

Part-time available | $18-$19/hr
Schedule: After-hours shift, typically 2:30pm–7:30pm

Prep Cooks support the entire café by preparing ingredients, batching recipes, and setting up the next day’s service. This position is ideal for someone who loves working independently and prefers a quieter kitchen environment.

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You enjoy working solo or with 1-2 other team members

  • You’re detail-oriented and follow recipes exactly

  • You’re efficient, consistent, and organized

  • You prefer late afternoon/evening hours

  • You’re reliable and self-motivated

Primary responsibilities:

  • Daily produce prep (washing, chopping, portioning)

  • Batch recipes: sauces, dressings, purées, etc.

  • Portioning proteins, toppings, smoothie ingredients

  • Labeling, dating, and rotating inventory (FIFO)

  • Cleaning and resetting prep area before closing
